I used to have tha issue...was hashed as hell, sitting at what used to be an old gas station?

What is it with you and old derelict Dusters, DF?

;D

The Orange Duster was still the coolest one by far...if only the 4-speed hadn't been fubar'd.

I likely have the issue; can you narrow it down to a year?

Dave, you must be getting old because your memory is fading! It was Mothers who did the buff job and the Rally wheels came with that Slant Six notchback Barracuda I had, the one with the solid bondo quarter panel. This was a clean car and one of the few I had that actually turned out somewhat profitable. It looked pretty sharp after the weeekend buff-and-stripe makeover. When I got the car, the motor had 4 or 5 holed pistons from overheating. I pulled a junkyard shortblock and then found out the head was warped and all the valve seats were shot, so I got a used head from Steve Magnante and it ran mint after that. I made the run up to Sacramento for the Slant Six club drag race and there are some shots of me camping out next to it in a sleeping bag. It was a nice around town driver and even my wife drove it once or twice. I think I sold it to that guy for $2200.

No matter which car or truck it was whenever I sell something it is rare that I didn't have at least a twinge of remorse, but to see it up for sale by someone else later is even worse. That thing would be a great driver.

June '99, pg. 68. That's crazy, since I just asked about this car in the Cheap Thrills Dart thread in the Gen. Disc. forum.

I hope the deal works out, Dave. :)

Deal? No Deal? I probably shouldn't ask, since you're giving away the Javelin. ;D
