I love '69 Camaros! I have one, and the are my favorite even if they seem to be everywhere. This thing looks sick, and if it turns out as cool as well all expect, it will be very fun to watch.

If the goal (as stated) is drum up interest in hot rodding/muscle cars/general go-fasting, a 69 Camaro is the best choice, as it is the most popular and recognizable.

2nd gen Camaros are the new 1st gen Camaro. :)

My point is that more people relate to and/or lust for a 69 Camaro than any one other model. From a marketing standpoint it is the best choice.
