From the producers of Pinks, it's 1320X. Aug. 16&17.

Anybody been to one of these yet? It's the same weekend as Fun Ford Weekend at Epping NH, and now I'm torn between which one to go to.

VT,I was at Pinks All out at etown on Saturday. Really cool with some real fast cars. I guess this is just a regular PINKS episode. But tis neat to see the arm drop and stuff. My brother was competeing with his 87 T-type . He said it was hard to try and spool up the turbo and not jump or move a little.

Actually this is different. This is a bracket race for American cars only, with classes for all sorts of cars, from slow stockers to a 10.5 Radial Class that has a $10K payout. $5K payout for another class and $2K each for electronics and non electronic classes. There is other stuff going on too, like a live band, manufacturers midway and a car show. This looks to be a big deal, and with the amount of race cars that will show up, I don't know where they will have the car show. You know what it was like at Musclepalooza, no room for anymore that day.

I'm going, and plan on racing either with my '69 Mustang or a friends Dakota R/T.

I'm sure that this point is not lost on our buddies here at CJTV that the PINKS thing seems to have tapped into something bigger than anybody expected. The question is of course will this burn out like a fad or is there staying power built on the very real base of car junkies here in the US and around the world?

It seems to have some appeal to people in general, not just junkie types. I have run across many people that watch the shows that aren't even into cars. They just like it. I don't think it will go away anytime soon. LVD is close to getting an AllOut show next summer.

Well, I ended up going to this 1320 event, and it was alot of balls out fast cars racing heads up for the 10.5 tire class. Saw a couple of 6.80-7.00 passes at 198-207 mph. Good show. $20k was paid out in 4 classes.
