>:( Looks like I'm not panning on going next year. I figured they would start in Madison, but it looks like they will probably head a little further east, not west like I had hoped. We'll see what they officially announce for a destination. I won't say any more except I won't be going.

I watched the feed from the stage today, and they wouldn't say which way the tour is going next year. I heard it would head out west starting in Madison going to Greenbay, then from there no one knows.

I'd be very surprised if the tour goes to Green Bay after the problems on the 04 PT. :P But then I've been surprised a time or two in my life! :D

What I heard wasn't Ohio for a finish, but either way 4000+ miles to and from the tour is a bit much. If I hit the lottery it may be different but my chance of hitting the lottery is better than Hot Rod's desire to have a tour come out west.

You heard wrong. They will not be going to Green Bay again. After the way Green Bay treated us in '04 Hot Rod said they would not be going to Green Bay again. And they are not going West. We had to cut our trip short due to a family emergency and we were told where some of the stops were, and where they were trying to get stops at that were still in the works, but can't disclose it. But since they did say at the stage tonight I can say that they are going to try to end in Ohio, so it will not be going West, but will be heading back east again.

My map shows Green Bay East of Madison, and like Linda said - ain't ever going to happen in Green Bay! That was the worse venue we've ever had. (my opinion on the best was New Orleans)

What's up with this and the possibility of ending up in Ohio? If this is the best they can do, I may be sitting out another year.

To the best of my recollection, the tour will start in Madison on June 6th (?); they also firmed up a stop at the GM Tech Center in Warren, MI....I don't think the other stops are set yet (?).....

WAS JUST INFORMED THAT... MADISON, RACINE........ AND WARREN,MI. WERE A LOCK.
DAY 3 unknown.. and racine..being so close to madtown...will probably be somewhat tied to a dragstrip event for part of the day.
also will prbably end in KNOXVILLE,TENN. since CHERRY BOMB is the final day sponsor.
So, we will see as it unfolds.what the truth is!

We heard the route will take a round about scenic drive from Madison to Racine, maybe South Bend, IN for the 3rd stop, then to Warren, MI
We will be long hauling again next year! Had a blast this year.

I met a guy who works for family events, and he informed me it would end in Columbus Ohio. He also told me starts in Madison, goes to Racine, did not know of the other stops till Columbus.

In short they towed & damaged "long haulers" cars............the parking was messed up. They mistreated the main guests that came to town that year. >:(

Maybe they will have everyone go from Madison to Union Grove dragaway for some racing and then on to Racine.

We're going to do at least the first leg next year. I thought it would be a little farther away though. They're going to have find a very round about way to make the day longer than a hour and half.

I think this is correct. It is my hope they swing down to Bowling Green for the Corvette-tie-in to GM performance. ;D

I'll trade you! I just got home at a little over 2000 miles from Madison.....
I'm still a little disappointed how HR is forgetting us out west, but I may reconsider and go anyway. A lot may depend on what Sharon can do if and when she gets a new job after the first of the year.

Sad to say they are going where the sponsors get the most money.

Does anyone think the Power Tour would go through Canada from Warren/Detroit to Buffalo/Niagra around to PA? The start to proposed finish are not that far apart to begin with....it looks like the tour could double back over itself.
