    Top Gear USA Season 3

    Premiered last Tuesday, anybody watch?

I thought they could have done some better challenges in the cop car episode, like how they mentioned hitting a curb at 45, but never tried it. I know it's entertainment, but I wish the challenges would produce meaningful results instead of "you didn't eat half a donut, that's 30 seconds". Oh well, I'll continue to watch because, hey, the more car shows on TV the better, and there are more episodes I like than not.

I never watch that show. I think I've seen it 4 times and was annoyed during each one of them. If someone would just write me a check and/or give me a time slot we could change automotive TV forever.

I guess the "will race anything" didn't pan out? I thought it showed potential to be an great show.

Also, tonight they're taking smart cars mudding.

Chadwick, you meant to say "change automotive TV forever" like Ham the chubby kid did in the Sandlot movie

        FOOOOOOOORRRRRREEEEEEVVVVVVEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!

I liked the Cop car episode, better than reruns of NASCAR on that car racing network

I watched the very first one (wasn't that the first one?) where they tried to make it across town without getting locked onto by the military helicopter? And then another one where they were racing the three classic muscle cars on the Los Angeles River bed, there and back?

Like lots of folks I was curious about the hype going into it. And that's what it seems like to me - hype. But ya know what? That sells. A lady I work with came into work yesterday saying she watched the show this weekend and saw a new Cadillac outrun a Ferrari or something. She's all in. She "wants" the Cadillac (though she could never get it).

Maybe it's a car show that's not at all for real car guys like y'all are. If even I can see through the hype, well...there ya go.

Watched the Cop Car episode (surprised the Ford won) and the microcar episode that just aired. Rut is a moron. Adam and Tanner are mildly entertaining (Adam more so than Tanner). Smart should sell 'em with a camo body wrap. The Peel Trident segment was obviously an inferior copy of Clarkson's Peel drive.

Isn't the "Roadkill" web show about the same thing, just without all the racing?

I watch it .... its entertainment and that's about it to me. My favorite episode was the 4X4s and trailers across Death Valley.

I like it. Not as much as the British version, but I still like it. It's better than 90% of the crap that makes it on the air.

Hey Chad, I think I got about $5 left in my account at the moment. That would be enough for a seasons worth of shows, right?
                  I'm probably wrong

I thought the Z06/Triumph chase through Long Beach port was pretty cool. I go elsewhere for real car content. (like here!)

Yeah, but you can't watch the MSP tests on tv with the commentary (plus the tests are probably more serious in nature). I guess I'm just too interested in seeing a clear cut 'winner'.
