I hate to be a critic (although I seem to be good at it) but 5 spokes? I'd be soooooo stoked if it had wide steelies with the peace sign hub caps. Then I'd be more than happy to get groceries in that!! :)

Was it just me or is the first part of the first vid very reminiscent of a Volvo wagon? I thought it was until I saw the second vid. I've given thought to a 5.0'd Volvo more than once. The Benz rears, when I was looking at doing the same thing to a 450SL, I was told don't like more than about 300 ft lbs so I resisted the urge to take it apart and never finish it.

Makes me miss my old beater w123!! I drove a '85 turbodiesel. You could not kill that thing if you tried!

awesome project potential. the group in vid won some awards for the tune and build.

starting with foot pounds as a base, there really is a very runted realm to step up and feed to get quite rewarded.

I just recorded my dads w900 yesterday. 48psi, and just as comfortable as an older diesel, sounds like it is not doing much work for the noise. it is caterpillars genuine version of a "550",( should be that nice anyway)

I hope he gets better, right after he dropped me off, he got going down the road..and his lung collapsed again. today he is in surgery.
we were talking of what next, as he is always evolving..with the way this rig turned out, he spoke of the 625 cat.

I was recording guages, he just put the trims on himself, for him to be in the hospital grabbed my heart bad. knowing his whole career, bouncing in the most horrid cracker jack boxes growing up...imagine reaching a pleasant climax, to not be rewarded for long?

a friend of mine, while we were in college, got the proceeds from someone totalling his car. I tried to convince him to buy a 69 Z28 Camaro. He bought the w123.... it is true, you can't kill them, but then again, they are not known for their blinding accelleration (or any accelleration)
