Just bought an Aeromotive fuel check valve. I think some of my delay in starting is from lacking a check valve. Won't hurt to have one even if I'm wrong about that.
Also bought a pair of Jiffy-Tite fittings to clip to it. So I'll mount the check valve to the fuel rails and the Jiffy-Tite fitting to the check valve. Not that it spills much fuel when I remove the fuel lines (not that I remove them often either), but this hopefully will lessen the amount.
Also bought a ten foot length of steel braided fuel line to replace the NAPA EFI rubber lines that have been there since 2009 (and as far as I can tell perfectly okay still).

I just doubled up this order since I'm adding a second fuel pump to kick on under load I ordered another Aeromotive check valve and set of Jiffy-tite quick disconnects.

I plan on supporting ridetech and baer soon. After meeting some of the crew on Powertour and watching the 48 hour build I've been impressed with their passion, research, and quality they put into their work. I can now afford a kit, but I'd still take a bangshift discount. ;) :ha:

I really like the two Powermaster alternators I've bought...
However, but for a funny twist, I'd never have tried them - there was a company in Portland that was, at one time named powermaster - they sold absolute junk. They were known for rebuilding starters/alternators and such.... but their first step whenever a core came in was always to check the item - if it passed their test, they'd rebox it and sell it... nice huh? My dad went through 8 alternators before he finally got one that worked (remove alternator, drive to store - 30 minutes a direction, replace alternator, check, remove alternator and repeat... 8 times)

I have a Powermaster on the 'Stang - for YEARS! Worked great the last time I drove it - like forever ago. I MUST get that car out this year.
