Can someone ID this axle?

I scored a free axle for my '26 T project. I think it's going to need bearings and brakes after sitting behind a shop for 20+ years. Any ideas as to what it is?

It's a beater pickup. This will do until something better comes along. I'll probably ditch the leafs and make a four bar.

I have one that looks much like it (rear steer and everything) it's from a 60s Chevrolet van.... and it's HEAVY with a capital HEAV

I have a heavy one from a van also. This one is much smaller. It does look a lot like the pics I've found from 50's Chevy pickups.

looks like the springs angle in closer together at the front. That ended with the 55 second series trucks, which have them parallel.

What bolt pattern rims? How many lug nuts/bolts.
Drop section too straight to be Ford?

look for a forging number in the middle of the axle, in the web...

The spring eyes are 26.25 and 30.5 outside to outside. Bolt pattern is 5 on 4.75. I went over it with a wire wheel but haven't found any numbers.

You can put the 5 lug car hubs/drums on the truck spindles. Sure looks like an early 50s chevy truck axle to me.
