    The 32 Ford Roaster

So we're in Australia earlier in the year and I spent a WHOLE day beating David up about the 32 roadster he was building... or not building as the case maybe... What really blew me away was that Tonya was Totally into it... she loved the car... hmmm

I'm sure Freiburger can embellish the story of how I talked him out of it... but basically I just wore his nappy butt down... beat him into submission and offered him "Just" enough money to make it happen... I picked it up from LA back in the spring and have been whittling on it in the shop for the last few months...

The car is a TCI Chassied Roadster that David designed to roil the back hides with.... 468ci Big Block with dual carbs and a 5 speed... ( God only wants us to have sticks... )

Since Tonya's so in love with it... I'll have her get some pictures up... until then check out the shop in the back round...

    Re: The 32 Ford Roaster

I keep seeing pics of this thing, but no actual car. I think they have just photoshopped a pic from the mag into their shop - at least, THAT was cleverly done.

All BS aside - it's good to know:
1 - If David and the mag resources aren't going to finish it, then Keith and Tonya will do it up right.
2 - It WILL be driven. Probably hard. No Riddlers for this rod.

I do look forward to seeing the Roaster, hopefully at Maxton, even though I don't think they plan to add the safety stuff to allow it to go down the track. Hey - he brought the sissy BMW!

Car looks good. I recently sold my Dreamsycle Orange '32 Vicky Highboy, as had to make room for another car.

Tell ya what Paul.... You get a kitchen pass... come down here and help me sort out where I'm going to stick the wiring harness and then help me finish up the basic's.... and you can go for a ride... if it don't fall apart by the time we get to Sonic... I'll let you drive it HOME....

Once this thing runs... there's a real stong chance I'll never see the keys again....

there's a small garage on the house and a shop out back.. the Healey currently lives there.... Our plan is to take over that spot with the 32 and start a restoration on the Healey... ( did the first one 25yrs ago.. )... so Miss Tonya is going to have unfettered access to the Hot Rod... Hmmm

But hey... it also means she's the one that will wear out those tiny tires and make us get some larger ones... Hmmm

I figure it's going to take three days tops to drive it to Sonic... one day to do the fake wire install.... ( this is where you are sitting on the milk crate trying not to burn those wires while your holding them together )

a Day at a muffler shop along with brakes and more wiring...

the last day to quit smiling...

K( you pick... I'm here )( or in California the next week or so )

I remember the car from the mag last time it was in, there was a statement that the car was orange and no pictures... too bad, it looks great.... bet it drives better.

Dude, it's Alabama. They barely have indoor plumbing. Forget a close airport.
