    WOO HOO!!!1!!! 4-day weekend......

    Lucky me.....

Took yesterday off to accompany my youngest on his kindergarten zoo trip....blast!

Uncle Sam doesn't need jet fuel today....so the Peterbilt sits and collects dust blowin in from IRP/ORP

Gotta do a parent/teacher conference shortly, and then....gonn jack around with the camaro, might try to post some pics.

Although it's doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of besting BlackoutSteve or Indyshiftman's offerings, I may just try my own hand at Burnout Mondays sometime soon....what's the worst that could happen?

    It's FRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDAY!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You, my friend, need a beer. I'll hold the camera.

10-4 on the barley pop....looks like it's either coors Light or Mickey's wide Mouths(what's in stock in the back room fridge...) I hate not having a garage.

      Conference went 100% better than I expected...he's going on to 1st grade*whew*....

Gonna do a little turkey hunting in the morning, and then it's all about my hot rod....haven't driven it in a year, time to blow the dust off of it(and figure out where/how to fix that rusted left rear subframe rail)

      It's 1700 somewhere....LOL

That would be right here. Drove the hot rod to work today, so I even get a nice ride home! Now, where did I put that darn camera...

        Turkey hunting? Where you from?

          Me?

Indy....southwest side near the airport. Going down to southern part of state to hunt...nice diversion, and smoked wild turkey jerky ain't too bad at all!

The friend I'm going along with is 100% hunt/fish kind of guy....tried to influence me to ditc the wheels, but set him straight QUICK. We've been cool ever since.

Just went outside and popped the hood on the Camaro for the first time in a year....was a rough one financially, just now back in shape to play with it.

I remembered something....I hate cheap-ass Taiwan chrome. I bought this from my Dad 3-4 years ago, he likes chrome.

Me, I like it, but prefer raw/polished/machined aluminum and stainless......it doesn't pit out, and polishes right back out.

The air cleaner atop the Performer is a 14" chrome Edelbrock piece...I do like it, but the cheap-ass valve covers have gotta go. So does the leaking worthless chrome timing chain cover.....

Snapped some pics, will put them up in the Project Cars section as soon as I get the A/V tech(my wife) in here to show me how to...LMAO....

          Bottoms Up!

We got rained out today, stopped by Mom and Dad's for a visit, went for a drug/alcohol screen (DOT random), got some tires switched on some rims I've been working on and got those put on the car (no rubbing, which is good!), met a few buddies for lunch and malt beverages, four hours later, got home, I'm now making dinner for the wife.

I may go to 'da Grove' (Union Grove) this weekend to watch my buddy T and T his '70 GTO bracket car. He just put together a new 462 and is sorta chompin' at the bit to see how she'll do. He's hopin' for high 9s. Car ran 10.2s with the old motor.

            Life is most definitely good.

              I ain't complaining......hell no one listens when I do anyway...LMAO

Just finished cleaning up the underhood chrome....not a damn bit of it went unscathed by rust-pitting.

I'll never let the car go without attention again...then again, I have no intention of allowing myself to get into the financial hole that started all of this again, either.

I was thinking cast aluminum, but the "fabbed" aluminum covers/lid/timing cover sounds even better...ideas abound.

Gotta find the USB cord for the camera, and then I'll post the pics....snapped some of the rusted framerail as well. That's the one part that concerns me.

Hate to toss a car I like, but gonna have to figure something out.......then again, Harbor Freight has a cheap welder on sale for less than $100. I'd have to figure out how to use the damn thing without electrocuting myself.......and that won't happen tonite*urp*...
