I really wonder how much stuff starts breaking once those cars start hooking??

Most of the one's I've seen just roast the tires, which really doesn't strain the parts like hooking with a pair of slicks does........

Do you really think this is supposed to be a race car? It's a bad ass street machine that goes like stink and handles reasonably well (despite being quite heavy). Purpose-built race car? Nope.

If you want a drag car you could get a CJ. If you want a road racer you could get an FR500 or a Boss 302R.

Just my $0.02. Personally, I'd build a street legal CJ. ;D
