Anyone remember a hot rod (looking for pics info)

first, sorry but I can not find a picture of the damn thing anywhere.


Back in the late 70's and the 80's there was a hot rod on the field of 3 Rivers Stadium during Pittsburgh Steelers football games. It was a beer truck and it may have belonged to Iron City Brewing.

The truck was a C-cab with a flat bed with wooden sides, it often had wooden barrels on the bed. It may have had ansen style slotted mags on it.

Anyone remember it? anyone got pictures of it.

More like this..this model is very close to what the truck looked like.
I am unsure if the thing was a Mack C Cab or just a C Cab hot rod..

I am unsure if the thing was a Mack C Cab or just a C Cab hot rod..

wow, that's funny, this is what my mind immediately flashed to when you said beer truck and wooden barrels. I had this model when I was a kid, lol

I believe this is it. Those fugly ass directional rims were not on it then tho....I guess the next question is why was it on the field at 3 rivers...

Actually the nose on the truck is the factory nose. The Mack AC had that nose on it. It was British troops that named the truck the "Bulldog" due to it's toughness and the bulldog like nose on the front of the truck. It really caught on and Mack added the bulldog as their official mascot.

French(Peguet)and some Italian(Fiat)Trucks had similarly shaped front 'Hood' sections. ~J/W.
