Re: Do You Buy Magazines Anymore ?
Yep, I just cant stop, I think I have a problem.
I have reduced my buying down to 4 titles, and I get The Rodder's Journal. I'm having a small problem with all my mags, 7 or 8 titles over a 11 year period, I have no place to keep them. I'm thinking of building a 10x10 room in my 30x32 garage or finding a lot of trunks.
6 bucks a piece is spendy but I use a local bookstore's discount cards, that knocks a little off the price.Lon. HazelGreen Ala.Comment

A few a year off the newsstand, and only one subscription.

Re: Do You Buy Magazines Anymore ?
True story.
I subscribed to Hot Rod since I was 10 years old, and stopped receiving my subscription the month I started working for them as the announcer on Power Tour. I swear it is the truth, and I never figured out why. After that I never even got subscription reminders either. So I haven't gotten them since. That was 5+ years ago. I read them at the stand, or at the dyno shop sometimes. I can't afford to be getting all the subscriptions I used to get. The only one I have anymore is National Dragster and Good Guys. I pay for the Dragster and Good Guys sends me theirs free since I announce for them and we are media.

Re: Do You Buy Magazines Anymore ?
I keep my Car Craft one because I can't find it for sale anywhere. I stop by the magazine rack in the grocery store and flip through the Hot Rod and Popular Hotrodding ones, and if an article or two perks my interest, I'll buy the magazine. Kinda like my way of voting with my dollars on the type of articles I like.Escaped on a technicality.Comment

Re: Do You Buy Magazines Anymore ?
I have a 3 year subscription to Muscle Mustangs and Super Fast Fords. I thumb through others at the grocery story. When I go back to Mom and Dads I usually bring back a box full of his old Hot Rod and Street Rodder. My trunk in the basement is getting full so I am going to have to figure something else out to keep my old magazines. Always nice to be able to go back and look through an old magazine.Jeff

Re: Do You Buy Magazines Anymore ?
I wait for the ultra low price offers - like $5 for a year of HR, CC, and this year I started getting muscle car.
I like the idea of HR Deluxe - but not sure I like it enough to spend $35 or whatever for a bi-monthly - and I'm pretty sure my wife would not appreciate the scantily clad models on the covers laying around the house. There's always something new to learn.Comment

Re: Do You Buy Magazines Anymore ?
5.0 mustang and super fords and then mm&ff. I go with the mm&ff because I feel they run most of the same articles and better tech stories? But ever since the new 5.0 came out its pretty much all about them.Originally posted by Bobbya312Still do HR and POP_HR.What is the best mag witthe most Fox body articles in it?Jeff
