    Locomotive lodge.

As I write this, there's two of these old F45's at the Landlord's place. They belong to the leasing company(National Railway Equipment of Ill. ...)who's storing them there, still shows what you can do with all that open space. It's something either Lohnes or Stokes would do ;D! www.gn441.com . ~J/W.

A friends Dad turned an old caboose into a "guest house" sort of thing.... even brought in sections of RR track to set it on.... amazing what you can do when you heavy equipment at your disposal.
There's always something new to learn.

That's awesome. I know in the Clive Cussler books, Dirk Pitt has a train car or two set on rails in his Air Craft Hanger/Home as a guest bed room. Always thought that was cool.
              Escaped on a technicality.

The Caboose lodges are actually next to the National Toy Train Museum, the PRR Museum is down the road to the right.
Was at both a few years ago.

                      A few years back,you could buy 'an old Cabosse from Conrail(before the CSX/NS 'split'...)for around $5K. Nice pics 'M-13' ;) ! ~J/W.

One of my favorite locomotives, too bad most of them have been cut up for scrap.

Just groovin' to my own tune.

I was able to walk inside the two units on Jack's property, both are former Burlington-Northern(Ex Great Northern..)units. According to the guy's,crewmen LOVED these Engines esspecially in the Winter months, the Crewmen could simply walk into the Engine 'Room' and keep warm, another thing guy's did was to place Soup/Tomato/whatever Cans on the Exhaust Manifolds, wait a few minutes and Volia, pipe'n hot Soup ;D! ~J/W.
