I was thinking about getting my dad the Drill Doctor 750x bit sharpener for Christmas. Most of the reviews seem pretty good and it's supposed to be made in America. Anybody have any experience with this model, or any Drill Doctor drill bit sharpener?

They are worth it. There's nothing better than a sharp bit, and nothing more aggravating than a dull one.The official Bangshift garage door guru. Just about anything can be built using garage door parts, trust me.Comment

Well, as an old machinist who learned how to sharpen drill bits on the grinder - I'm not impressed with the Drill Doctor.
There are better sharpeners on the market, but they are more expensive.
And IMO the Drill Doctor doesn't do split points correctly.Act your age, not your shoe size. - PrinceComment

I own one, it works great.
It gets used alot by everyone I've worked with for years.
