Like the title says....'69 mustang coupe. It is sold as a roller but has a v-8 in it now. Does not come with trans either(c6 now). Looks like all the trim is there, paint is so-so. Have not crawled all over it yet, but I plan too. What to look for? Where does the rust hide?

Re: Whats it worth?
;D 2 in the bush ???
I have seen some on craigs lists in roller form for 1800-2800 Fairly rough(in my opinion) needed floor patched, trunk patched, quarters. etc etc
These were in Iowa in the summer...
Not much help I know but thought I would give you a free bump!Jeff

Re: Whats it worth?
Check out the floors and trunk. Just crawl under and look for holes in the floor pans, trunk drop offs and wheel lips. Also, look for abnormally smooth spots. If you want a crash course in automotive mineral deterioration discernment, check out the blog items about the Hack Job General Lee. For rusty pics of a '60s Ford unibody floor pan, see my build thread. My Ranchero was full of Bondo and metal hack. Still got some leftovers, too.Bakersfield, CA.Comment

Re: Whats it worth?
did ya buy it? Kickass! Man, that's a toss-up for me. The W will more than likely be less coin to operate. The C has that "it's got a hemi" kind of mystique. Both can be made to run hard. Sucks to have to make that choice. Yeah, it just sucks. Which one has a pan that fits?Originally posted by 88ponyNono, I meant which one should I put in the car. I have a 2v cleveland (need to find out what year)and a '91 windsor. I feel the windsor will get me on the road quicker.Comment

Re: Whats it worth?
Buy it? I HAD TO! Funny how things change in one weeks time. I was all set to rip my '88 apart do the aod-to-tremec conversion. But, before that I wanted to get my f-250 running better. I found an intake on craigslist for it, went to buy it and they had this car for sale. Now my truck sits, the '88 sits and I'm burning up the net like a retard for '69 info. AHHH! I'm just glad we have two feet of snow right now because none of the toys are road-worthy. As for the motors-the Windsor is out of a truck and I took the Cleve out of a truck also. Both pans will need changed. Also tossing around the idea of a 5.0 H.O. and aod in it. That would make it alot more highway friendly. Jeez, maybe I should worry about getting it home first. I'll start a project thread when it comes home and go from there...Originally posted by Tom Slickdid ya buy it? Kickass! Man, that's a toss-up for me. Re: Whats it worth?
It looks like it's in nice shape, I even like the color, there's just something about green cars. And as much as I love Clevelands I'd go with a Windsor also, WAY more parts available. Can't wait to see more pics.Just groovin' to my own tune.Comment
