    Cool!

This one is long gone...Used to be on Rt.33 right outside of Englishtown, NJ. We drove past it for years and finally decided to do a photo-op when we saw it closed and boarded up...

    Circa early 90's....

Another historic Route 66 gas station:

                              Lucille's (outside Hydro, Oklahoma)

BTW, Wayne Henderson & Scott Benjamin's Standard Oil: The First 125 Years is just packed with vintage gas station photos ( http://www.amazon.com/Standard-Oil-F.../dp/0760300860), including stations of Standard (naturally) Enco, Esso, Humble, Magnolia, Socony, Mobil, Amoco, Pan-Am, Chevron, Sohio, BP (Boo! Hiss! Go home Limeys! >) Marathon, Speedway, Atlantic, Conoco, Pure, Jet, and even Pennzoil (Yes, Virginia, Pennzoil once had filling stations . . . bitchin ones made out of glass blocks)
