BIG NEWS! X275 class coming to both NMCA and NMRA for 2011

Wow! Just got the word from NMCA tech guru, Jeff Conley, that both the NMCA and NMRA will field an X275 radial class for 2011.

This is going to be nuking futs! The rules for the new class should be posted today or tomorrow. Check 'em out at www.nmcadigital.com

They needed a shot in the arm like this!

          "1.2 ENGINE
ENGINE: Engine limited to 302, 351, and 4.6L/5.4L Modular engine types, Small Blocks are allowed any deck height. GM
blocks are limited to a 10.2 deck height. Ford Big Block are limited to a 10.3 deck height. Mopar big block limited to 10.7
deck height. Any accepted engine combination permitted in any accepted body style. Engine swapping permitted during
          event.
1.2a) ENGINE DRIVE BELT SYSTEM: Any permitted."

WOW - these things are going to fly - I don't have the money or time to field anything competitive... but it sure looks like fun.
There's always something new to learn.

Guessing this is 275 width radials? That's gonna be crazy watching cars on such a narrow tire! 275 is the width of the street radial I use for my V6 and 255 is the size of drag radial I'll run once the track is open!

Gonna be some killer trap speeds though. I love the DR classes when the turbo cars come out and play
