Ever watch a program on t.v. and have the commercials be way louder than the program?
Well that's about to end thanks to a bill passed by congress.No,I don't know when it goes
into law.

will not happen..
yes the bill will become law,but the
programmers at your fav channels will use the loop hole,
that is they will raise the volume 15 seconds before the add's so the add's are not louder than the show "was"
and then fade it back after the add's are through
this bill it a joke. so keep your volume or mute button warm

On those rare occassions I'm planted in front of the TV and watching something interesting I usually just zap away when they think it's time to stream some of their commercial garbage into my brain.
Commercials on certain channels take upto 12 minutes sometimes, so I tend to zap a lot, and when I've zapped to several other channels, I sometimes even forget what I was watching on the first channel anyway.

And if I get pissed off enough while trying to watch TV the thing just goes off and I take the onramp onto the internet highway...

It's not that bad yet, but I see your point.
I watch History Channel, Discovery, etc., - stuff without a plot.

While I don't like more laws, it is very annoying how commercials are so much louder than the tv show. If I can hear the show, I can hear the damn commercial.
