I miss Sr. and the real NASCAR also, but the truth is the truth. While Ford Mustangs could be bought from 1964 to current,
the Camaro had a gap, some poor service man was probably left out. Oh but wait, send him back home and he could have drove a Cavalier or Cobalt. I'm just pickin Spidey. :D

              Very Timely -
A friend at work just got back from his third three month tour in Turkey supporting the airborne re-fuelers, we missed him at work, but not as much as his wife and three kids - especially his son who played all his first season of football, and was voted team MVP for the season - non of which his father was here to see. The sacrifices these folks make on our behalf is not just the soldier themselves, but the families and communities they leave behind.
There's always something new to learn.

during my tour in the US NAVY, I was gone overseas on deployment for a year and half for desert shield/ desert storm, that video made me remember all the small things some of us take for granted, hell just walking around in a kitchen like the actor was doing made me remember the first time back getting a snack was HUGE for me. The military told when to eat, when to sleep but just coming back home, words cant describe it. First thing I did was take off my shoes and socks and walked in the yard for like 15 minutes, grass on bare feet, just something I missed.

Bt yea the video gave me some flashbacks, it was a good and bad time for me

                  I remember seeing that commercial....brought
back lots of memories from the '60s.

Saw lots of guys come back from Viet Nam with
a pocket full of cash (tax free) buying a muscle car.

The parking lot outside the chow hall, today, would
be a muscle car mecca....every imaginable car you could
                  think of was there.

Many ordered their ride before they left country to have it
waiting for them when they got back.

One statistic I'll always remember reading......it was said
that Playboy and Hot Rod were the two most popular magazines
for serviceman then........who said it? boobs and hot rods.

No yellow ribbons for us back then.

                    No kidding.

That one stalled me for a moment. I hadn't seen it before. Thanks for putting it up.
