    Freaking Advance

I've never had a problem with Advance before, but I've been waiting for my tools for 3 weeks, they lost them 3 times, I'm getting them for almost nothing when they come in
    http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10-Piece-1-4%22,-3-8%22-and-1-2%22-Drive-External-Torx&174;-Socket-Set-Gear-Wrench_25984288-P_N3409A_T|GRP2062____
    But I can't afford to keep driving my dad's F150, 8MPG!!
I'm scheduling my car to go to my mechanic, if the tools come in beforehand, I'll do the hub, if not, he will.
I'm pissed off, I don't like putting gas into that truck, and leaving work early so they can get to work. I'm losing money here
Rumors of my demise by rollover have been greatly exaggerated.

Sears doesnt carry these? or, any of the other parts stores in your area? I mean, you could have ordered the shit online and had it sooner...even if you pre paid..tell them you want your money back. seems you might be making excuses again.

Yeah, considering that they have built like elevendy-billion F150s I don't think you need to be waiting for these tools to come via camel back or whatever method they are using.

I think Joe hit it on the head. Walking into a Sears will probably net you what you need. Hell, you may be able to get the individual socket rather than a 40 dollar set that is going to get used once the thrown to the back of your tool box.

          Re: Freaking Advance

I don't have a vehicle to go across the bridge to the Sears, the F150 isn't legal, and I'm taking a lot of risks driving it around as it is (no inspection sticker, failed emissions due to no exhaust behind the cat)
when I get the kit in, and the hub that's getting removed rebuilt, I'll do the other side myself

My brother hates driving in DE, he hates me riding in the car with him, we don't get along too well unless he needs help with his car
My friends were all over there already on black friday, the only one who wasn't has his car (the Grand National) apart.
I know, excuses, but on a better note, they've knocked it down to $5 if it comes in this week $1 or Free next week depending on who is there

I am not all that impressed with them either.. but local is local.
a manager can set a path how he chooses. my bro-n-law was an excellent one. As if he stood above maine invisbly and counted the popular machines. Even found ways to interchange and generalize parts.
                      Can't have it all today.

my last purchase recently was the Worst known brand name to a timing belt for a subaru.. and it was the only one they had. I must become my own parts supply beforehand, if I want what I want...and it is from the net, for the past 5 years or so.

Ha ha I drove a company F-150 (with 4 mismatched tires and 160k on the odo) with expired tags/inspection/insurance from Amarillo, up to Fort Morgan, Colorado then to Topeka, Kansas, back to Wichita, Kansas, then to OKC and then home.

You have a bicycle? When I was putting the Escort together I would do 15-25 miles to get tools and parts. Didn't cost me a thing. Also, tools I got from advance never lasted more than a few jobs.
