Awesome/Evil looking car for sure and I'm sure it will pass for a show car also! Drag Week ought to be very interesting this year. I was talking to a guy up at the Woodward Cruise 2 weeks ago, he's involved with Jeff Lutz's black 57, he says they've been doing some T&T with the car and have been in the 6's with the new motor, then you know Denny's crew will have the 69 flying by the time Drag Week rolls around so there should be at least 3 cars in th 6's. My money is still on Larry!

Very cool looking car. It should be a strong competitor- along with the 57 from last year and Joe Barry's 56- not to mention the coupe. But the road trip is the great equalizer. Unlimited will be class to watch this year! I look forward to seeing it in person in two weeks.
Just got to get my slug finished- rain, rain go away!

I got to watch Larry race at Heartland Park this past weekend in the LODRS race in Comp Eliminator behind the wheel of an A/Altered Pontiac Firebird.... Larry's street car is quicker and faster than the A/Altered.....

The other part of this greatness will be the turbo vs. centrifugal blower showdown.
RR brings up some great points about dark horses lurking in the shadows.
I'm getting more and more jealous of Chad for being there by the second!

Just my .02 cents here,
Denny's car is amazing, and I have heard from a VERY reliable source (the tuner) that it is no joke. The other unlimited guys should be worried because he will be a contender this year for sure.
But imo, a centrifugal blower has a slim to none chance against the twins. I love Dennys car, and I wish him the best of luck, but my money is still on Larry.

That is my opinion a 100%.. It will be VERY difficult for that combo to make the "reliable" power that a couple hair driers can make, it would NOT of been the way I woulda' went, but maybe he will prove us wrong, but I am with you, my money is on the hair drier cars.
I wonder if they are gonna cut the belt after each day, and hook up some kinda air intake system, or try and ride out with the belt on..

Light Car Top Sportsman Style, blower whats not reliable about that, take the belt off not much gear. Lets not make more out of it than it is, if it does not win its a Fail, they got more in it than any other two cars going put together.
Dont get me wrong its a nice car very nice, but money tends to do that you know

If I could tell my boss to stick it in his ear and walk out the door, I'd be THERE.
Unfortunately my wife and kids really like eating and having a roof. :)

Funny you say that!
I might have said something like that to my boss last week.

Often times both those locations are very closely located. :-[
Or perhaps that is only true with my boss :-X

I was actually very nice about it but I really did have to quit my job before I was able to go to dw. It was pretty cool to see the look on his face as he said "wow! youre going to go no matter what arent you?" I replied "yep".
There are a million reasons that I am leaving my job, and yes, drag week actually is one of them.
