    what spares does everyone bring?

This is my first try at drag week. The car is nothing crazy its a mid to high 10 sec car depending on the air and is pretty dependable. I have all the usual stuff, starter, alternator, belts, fuel pump. that i am bringing spare of but what else do you guys bring for the trip? I dont plan on having any issues but ya never know. Any help or advice is appreciated.

NOT THE KITCHEN SINK, BUT EVERYTHING ELSE :D

If you break at the track yo will usually find someone that has a part you need, if on the road, lots of parts stores (make sure you are traveling with some other participants so they can go chase the parts). Can also have special needs items delivered to the next track.

Valve train items seem to take the most abuse.Id suggest anything that is specific to your car make sure you have.

Something I wish I had taken or picked up at the local parts houses was spark plugs. For whatever reason I didn't think to check them until the last day. They were black from the engine loading up with all the slow in town/ back road driving. I swapped them, rechecked the timing, and gained 2 tenths. yeah...they were bad. Next year I'll make sure I have them and check before running each track.

Anti-seize or some such product for your wheel studs if switching to track tires at each stop.

Thankfully most of the other stuff/ tools I brought went unused unless I was lending one to someone else. We also learned not to leave the ice chest full of iced beer on the trailer, regardless of how short the trip is. What a waste of Corona...

I would take what you think and if you cant get it loacl where your at now, someone else may have it and Local shops along the way, Plugs, Fuel filters, hoses, belts, alt, starter. My Trailer is for hauling the Tires I prefer not to run on plugs if I get a flat, and hate to unload and load when I could be drinking that much sooner.

Big tip is work on your car out of the tool box your going to take.

To add to Rich's spark plug suggestion, the four 200-300 mile road trips are also hard on spark plug boots & wires, header gaskets & bolts, collector gaskets, etc.
Fix-A-Flat and/or a tire plug kit are worth having with you (a good, small, 12V air compressor is a necessity).
My Dana 60 rear axle bearings are special so I keep a pair of those with me.
