I remember reading about this car when it hit the strips back in the day - it seemed awesome (still is).
Of course, the light blue supercharged Mustang was my favorite MALCO gasser.

In truth, George and a few others - basically rang the death knell for the gasser class by going with late model bodywork instead of the classic vintage stuff.
Funny cars were really coming on strong as a class then, having transistioned from AFX - and that didn't help matters any.
They simply looked like faster, louder gassers to many fans.

George went on to build motors for some road racing series or Indycar type series - anyone remember exactly?

Ohio George did all my machine work on my Turbo6. Kinda cranky but a very good guy and if you treat him right and let him tell you the answers instead of trying to "help" him, he's a great source of information. One of the short list of things I miss around Wright-Patterson.
