When I read the headline my first thought was "Isn't Irwindale an 1/8th mile track??" Yup, sure is, WOW. It does have a very long shut down though, I'd say longer than a lot of 1/4 mile tracks if I remember rolling down it right, you don't want to miss the first turn out :P

Man when I saw them pull that thing out I thought this guys got a deathwish! ....knowing Irwindales dodgy shutdown area...that 207+ lap on that track was insane to watch!!

Wow... Irwindale's shutdown is kinda spooky at 100 mph, 200 is nuts...

it must have had one hell of a pull in the last quarter of the eighth.

I know of a motorcycle that got into fours as a street machine.. a little CBR 600 honda, driver about 145 pounds.
of course modified, but you may get my point...
