According to an aviation instructor, you can get a basket case mig for 30 grand
30 G should get you a flying one!
I have a buddy here in Council Bluffs that bought a pair of SU-29s for $8500. One of them is now almost in flying condition - the bitch is, he has to have the ejection seat deactivated before he can fly it as an "Experimental"
Yes, I will make sure 1320video.com is there if he ever flies it out of our local airfield!

Crazy millionaires? Talked to a guy with a MiG at the 1989 EAA fly-in at Oshkosh. Bought it from the Yugoslav military for $20,000 American. Super sonic jet for 20 grand not to mention fighter jet.
Gov't stripped all of the sensitive avionics and such out of the 15's when that plane was retired, and they keep that stuff under lock n key. Iran was sold a bunch of F15s during the cold war, and when we pulled out of there, the military and civilian personnel that were contracted to keep them maintained for the Iran gov't were told to strip certain parts off of the Iranian fleet so they could not fly them. I don't think you'll see a retired F15 airborne any time soon due to that reason alone.....
