Re: another Fox

I thought all the ashtray doors were broken from day one? I got this car for the mass-air conversion to my car. I have a spare one of everything for it also. Now my wife says she thinks we should work on it and she'd drive it-dunno what I have done to her all these years ??? ??? Got the front fenders also. Think the fuel pump is out or problems with the wires to it. Hope to find out tommorrow. -
Re: another Fox
check the fuel pump relay it's under the drivers seat and are prone to going out. My old one quit lots and i eventually eliminated it. Looks to be in quite good shape compared to one up here the same vintage in the Great White North ;DComment

Re: another Fox
Nice Stang! I don't know if this is the case with your car, but I once had the fuel pump shut off in my 88 Tempo GLS after a minor hit, and I had to reset the fuel system with a button/switch in the trunk of the car. Maybe it's the same situation in your car.Comment

Re: another Fox
It may be 'another Fox', but the cool thing is we here at BS have a lot of Fox diversity.
We have:
4 eyes
aero nosers
a wagon
carb'd turbo 4 banger
efi turbo 4 banger
efi 5.0L
carb'd big block
DD's
street/strip
road racers
Good luck with it. The more I work on mine, the more I like it's simplicity.Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

Re: another Fox
Perfect place to ask this... Is there a better chassis for an engine test bed vehicle? I've heard of almost anything you can imagine in a Fox. Turbo6 Buick, BBC, Pinto Turbo4, Mod motor, even a flathead!Central TEXAS Sleeper

Re: another Fox
Fox body mustangs are the deuce coupes and Tri-5s of this generation. Cheap, easy to work on, light and fast with a few mods. You're limited only by your imagination.Comment

Re: another Fox
X2 on the simplicity. If mine is the carb'd/turbo 4banger one on the list, put a two in front of the efi turbo 4banger on the list, just scored an 86 SVO engine/trans and all the fixin's for three bills ;D.Originally posted by BigBlockRangerIt may be 'another Fox', but the cool thing is we here at BS have a lot of Fox diversity.

I say build a track only car on the cheap, and race the ba-jeezus out of it no matter what type of racing you chose.
There is now a blue print on here how to make this thing a sleeper. Have fun no matter what you do.Jeremy George in Windsor NYComment
