I run a japanese car. It is as if to be lied to the point of seductive, then truthfully tear everything apart that should be taken for granted. That is not normal. I am not blind...

alot of innocent is however. Just One bad auto death should be trial and ban.

nobody including Toyota and all the lawyers in the world that are trying desperately to find a "cause" have been able to do so yet. Ready, shoot, aim?

Scott, they may use facts but I've also seen bias. I few years back I was looking at the truck ratings. The F150 and the Tundra had that exact same ratings yet the Tundra was "recommended" while the F150 wasn't. Didn't make sense to me. ???

Scott, they may use facts but I've also seen bias. I few years back I was looking at the truck ratings. The F150 and the Tundra had that exact same ratings yet the Tundra was "recommended" while the F150 wasn't. Didn't make sense to me. ???

I'm not talking about their recommendations, just who they pick based on "initial quality surveys" - you're right, there's goofy bias in the "Op Ed" pieces.

Just because they haven't figured out what the problem is, doesn't mean it's not there. It's not the floor mats, it's not the "sticky" CTS pedal, and it's not driver error. That leaves the electronics. They're not looking hard enough, or they're not smart enough, but it's lurking in there somewhere. Leaving it at "no error code = no problem" just doesn't cut it.

only 2600 claims of acceleration and sticking throttles. only 36 people killed in " supposed " cases. Ive said since I left them in 87, "perception by deception ". ( Data from a Ford Motor Co. website. ) GM sure did a dandy job setting this up!

As for C/R a fellow high school worked for them, now works for USA today. Richie R . said C/r is the most biased company he has ever worked for. Guess what his company car was, a toyota. and guess what all the company cars were...toyotas. now they are his words not mine.

I thought I read somewhere that the wife of somebody high up at Consumer Reports is an executive at Toyota, but now I can't find it. They got automatic recommended buy status for years despite quality that was slipping. Suckered a whole lot of people into buying Toyotas. Search on "RAV-4 transmission failure" if you want to see some unhappy Toyota customers ranting and raving. Buy off NHTSA, buy off CR, way cheaper than doing it right. Probably thought they'd bought off enough politicians to head off this hearing - guess not.

back in 99 , those rav trans bought a lot of speed parts for ME !!!!
the bolts loosened up for the transfer case -gushed transfluid
an S wrench made repair a snap !!!!!
