Anyone know how long an accelerator cable for a 68 SS396 Nova is?

    Didn't a 68 Nova have a rod, not a cable? Both my 65 and 70 have rods.

Guessing you need a cable because of your set up, start measuring. I'd start with with the throttle linkage on the carb in it's farthest forward position, then measure to the hole in the firewall. Then measure from the firewall to the pedal in it's most forward position, towards you.

A look over at Year One shows Lokar's at 24 inch or a 36 inch universal cut to fit. They also show one for 70-72 Nova V8 4 bbl. Here's the link. I couldn't find one listed for a 68. I'm guessing these are about the right length.

Thanks. It's for a friend's car. He told me 68, but he is 67 so who knows. The cable he has has a sheathing length of 10.5 inches and needs to be 2 inches longer.
