At the current sign-up rate, we should hit 500 members by friday unless Thanksgiving messes that up. Number 500 will get a free CarJunkieTV T-shirt!

Just a few for the staff right now. As I've said in another post, we'll offer 'em to the public when we finalize out logo, etc.

As D.F. said in one of his recent editorials, I too dig a cool t-shirt. One that helps to define who I am. The fact that some people may not get that about the t-shirt, makes it that much cooler too me. I think a t-shirt from here would probably fit that bill. ;)
Sign me up, I'll take one 8)

I'll just buy a couple from you. I don't want anything for free. I'll just have to figure out how to get them into the rotation with the 200club tees I have....hmmm maybe you could leave the front blank for me or something....hmmmm

I for sure would want a couple, takes at least 2 for wash rotation... speed - leave the front blank, now thats funny ;D

Damn ya'll are a creative bunch.

Yes, put a small version of the logo on the left front, even on a pocket T (yea, I'm an engineer geek and those pockets come in handy, but I DONT have a pocket protector!)

then put the logo big on the back.....

underneath - "if you can't read this, you're too slow"

I like that idea. I'll buy a couple when they're available. T-shirts are part of my everyday wardrobe.

At what age does the pocket stop being a decorative item and become a cargo container? I just turned 40 and starting to get worried. I remember GrandDad and Dad having cigarettes, reading glasses, business cards and several pens stuffed in there.

Eventually we plan to have a number of shirt designs. One for each project car, plus a few with different versions of a CarJunkieTV logo. Now we have the one on the site that looks like door art, but we also want a cool '60s logo, a '70s one, a "van" one, etc. Any of you creative types want to submit some designs for consideration? Know any illustrators?

BigBlockMopar

Playing with Photoshop and illustrator is my daily job at the printshop, but I'm no artist.
The HAMB-forum is where you can find some of the 'cream de la creme'. Just have a look in the weekly 'Friday Artshow-Topics' overthere.
I could try to come up with some ideas perhaps.

Black is for Yuppie Harley Riders!!!

I want you to wear your black t-shirt to Bonneville... we'll stick you on the crew and let you work on the car for as long as you survive.... be fun to watch...

You simply have clean and Dirty T's... it's that simple... ( lots of them don't hurt either... )

ALL IN WHITE.... ( Except Matt of course... dude he works for Harley... and he likes my Ducati... so he's okay in Black... )

heh, I love Black as much as the next guy but I agree about the heat issue! My distributor sponser's BME's dragster and the colors are Black and gold. Whenever there is a national event we all wear black pants, shoes and black polo shirts. Talk about HOT!!! nothing is worse than seeing a 250 lb fat guy sweat himself for a whole weekend! LOL

'camo' does a good job of hiding grease stains too. The stain will look like part of the pattern, unless, of course, the stain is something like tranny fluid.

Keith beat me to it. Try attending the June Maxton meet in a black T. I made that mistake - once. Grown women wept when I pulled a white one out of my suitcase and changed right there in front of God and everyone. Or maybe they threw up? I'm guessing a black one for the shop and a white one for at the track. The Top Fuel guys can wear black all the time, because they can just sniff the fuel can and they won't even notice that they're melting.

BTW - in relation to the heat - be sure that they are almost all or all cotton. That really matters.

Later

Freiburger
December 7th, 2007, 05:07 PM
Glad you got 'em.

Don't you have a inliner in the Camaro? Why not turbo that? I would.

I like 4.3s, but they do have thin walls that could be trouble under boost. Also, you'll need to make a motor plate to set it back against the firewall. They sit far forward if you put them on stock mounts. Brodix has heads for them, BTW.

squirrel
December 7th, 2007, 06:30 PM
yeah, Gary was joking about the 4.3, the 250 is what needs a turbo. and if that fails, there's a 292 in the barn.
