2:55...thats the closest Ive ever seen anyone get to a dragstrip without actually laying down on it.
Ya really think Jungle would do what the suits at NHRA or IHRA told him to do? Not bloody likely. I read somewhere he wouldn't do what Revell told him to do. One appearance he was supposed to go to, he decided instead to twist one up and grill steaks. He was a true individual, something our modern sanitized version of drag racing doesn't like. Does Force ever really get controversial? I don't think so. He's accused of taking a dive, and I think he did, but try to prove it. He just flaps his gums and plugs his sponsors.
No one will ever replace Jungle Pam, but Alice Bode does a pretty good job of trying. Watch her back up her husband Bob Bode sometime.

I was with Jim when he took the blue 66 Nova to Fremont Drag Strip for it's "maiden voyage" He built that car from new Chevy body panels. He was also a great fabricator.Comment
