    Traction Bar's for the Skylark

    I'm looking at getting a set to aid the Skylark's traction issues :P Catalog's never list X-bodies after '74 so I'm falling back on the general principle that ones from a First Gen F-body should bolt on. If anyone knows of any flaws to that line of thought let me know!

    The real question is what should I be looking for in a set? Lakewood has a set for fairly cheap from Summit (street/strip set).

    Is there any issues with one design over another? The car will never be a bumper dragger :P It's a daily driver and I want something to keep the wheel hop to a minimum. Thanks.

      Cal-trac style bars seem to be the new standard for results & comfort.

      The geometry makes sense to me. To the point that I can't believe they weren't popular, oh say, 40 years ago?

      You've seen BigBlockRangers thread on here where he built his own? That's a path I'd pursue, if any of my leaf-spring junk ran well enough to need traction aids that is. :-[

      Of all the paths you take in life - make sure a few of them are dirt.

          some 1.5" by 1.5" square tube. some c clamps and an adj. bump stop..
          build it your self.. cheap...
