Wind is blowing around 35 to 40 outside my house right now. It's also raining so hard my satellite keeps losing signal. It's why I am here.
After four days of rains, LA residents have to decided to stay off the roads. City streets are practically empty so far today. I'm guessing all those Prius drivers have discovered water and battery packs don't mix too well.
Usually rains 3 inches per year here in Bakersfield. I think we got all of it the last few days. Never had a 4x4 until this year and it is making every mud puddle I can find a party. Motorsports in every weather condition!
I've been really naughty and juvenile running the work Subby through deep puddles really fast. Making big splashes is really fun!!! It's just like when I was 8 and would jump up and down in puddles until the puddle was gone.
on january 9th I predicted it, i found it to be funny looking back at my log....the dip in the stream is the fastest dive south below florida I have seen in my several years of daily cloud radar (24 hour loops compiled)...sure enough haiti cracked to it, which I did not predict, but the slap with rain, it is common sense to patterns previous.
It aint over yet, as going to spring solstice has its own surge even in gentle normal years.
my hobby was derived from absolute jackass at the gov't offices, they used to be so far off on forecasts it was deadly...

the death rate and fairy tales cannot kill the nature left behind.
Here in Big Bear at 7000 feet we have been getting pounded with snow yesterday and 3 more feet today and its still coming down hard. Supposedly we will get another 3 feet of snow tomorrow too. Its snowing so hard, I cant keep up with the plowing using a backhoe. We've lost power 4 times. This s t is getting old, bring on spring and the power tour!
