So which one do you prefer? Just curious, mostly a random thought of mine. I think each one looks at the whole car thing differently, and I was wondering which one most on here would prefer.
Which movie?

Is that the movie with the bitchin Willys gasser style drag car???? I liked Gone in 60 seconds better. Not really a car movie but Dazed and confused had some great muscle cars in it!HRPT LH- 09,10,11,12

Re: Which movie?
Great movie , although its never talked about and never makes any list.Originally posted by kotseniericI love the movie Hot Rod, it was a movie that came out in the early 80s
I remember that being on TV.
How about the original movie of The Fast and the Furious ?
starring John Ireland and Dorothy Malone. Its the secind movie ever directed by Roger Corman.Comment

Re: Which movie?
The original Gone in 60 Seconds, the campy Toby Halicki version is pretty bitchin to watch, just for the hell they put the Mustang through. Don't expect great acting, but do expect a sports roof Mustang being absolutely thrashed to death.

Re: Which movie?
I love that movie. I have never heard of the '80s flick y'all are talking about, I will have to look that up. There are many car movies that I like better than these two movies, but they both were recent relatively popular "car" movies. Personally, I prefer the remake of Gone in 60 Seconds to any of the F+F movies. I seems to show a greater appreciation for the passion of being a car guy and driving than Fast and the Furious.Originally posted by Brian LohnesThe original Gone in 60 Seconds, the campy Toby Halicki version is pretty bitchin to watch, just for the hell they put the Mustang through. Re: Which movie?
I have the remastered DVD of the original gone in 60 with a bunch of extra footage and sort of a short biography of Toby, by his wife and some friends.
I can only imagine the jail time he'd have to endure if he tried to film that movie now on public roads!
I guess easy rider was filmed on a shoe string budget too - all on public roads with a lot of people pulled from wherever they were filming for extra roles in the film.
