    Plug wire resistance

Im not sure how to check it. I used a multi meter set on ohms 20K setting.
Ive got one about 2 feet long and it shows 1.34 on the meter and another
a little longer that shows 1.89 on there, the wires are Moroso blue max,
they claim 40 ohms per foot. Is the set I have junk? To much resistance?

go up to the next higher setting on multi meter and see what it reads. Whenever I get a decimal point means it's beyond the setting. I'm guessing the wires are toast. 100 ohms per foot is more acceptable as a general rule, but each manufacturer has different ideas.

Let's see what the other guys here say.

50 ohms per foot is what I've gone by.
OEM replacement stuff uses the same spec, as well.

20K is probably too high of a setting. Since the resistance of the wires should be 50-70 ohms per 12" of wire, the 2' wire should be around 100-140 ohms. Pick the setting on your meter that's ONE step above 140 ohms (probably 200 ohms?) and try it again.

        Remember, 20K is "20,000" ohms.

          When I set it at 200 i get a reading like this- 1 .

When at 2000 with what I believe is the continuity sign (little arrow facing right into a line) I get a number of 1360 with no decimal.

What do you get when you touch the probes to each other and not the wire? Either your meter/probes are bad, or you found the problem with your ignition! ;)

Whne I touch them together at the 200 setting I get 5.3 to 5.6

At the other setting I get 001

So what am I seeing here? Im just not that good with this type of stuff. Am I seeing infinity with the 1 . Therefore junk wires?
              Thanks for the help too!

try touching them together at the lowest setting. You want it to read "zero" but in reality it might show ".1" or ".5" or something like that.

Right now, it sounds like the probes themselves have 5.3-5.6 ohms of resistance, but the 200 ohm setting might be a little high to get an accurate reading.

It still seems like your plug wires have a high resistance, but check with the manufacturer as some wires are supposed to have a much higher resistance than 50-70 ohms per foot.

At the lowest setting (little zig zag) im getting 000 when touching the probes.
Im getting 000 with the wire at that setting too.

"000" sounds like it means "higher than I can read at this setting" but since I am unfamiliar with your voltmeter - I'm not really sure what it's telling you...
