Stopped by Legendary Motorcar on the weekend

This past Saturday when I was out & about, I ended up nearby to Legendary Motorcar in Milton, Ontario, which is about 1/2 hour west of Toronto. It is a high-end shop that buy and sells collector cars as well as performing nice restorations, mostly on big dollar muscle cars, but with a few exceptions. Generally lots of rare and unusual vehicles there, I hadn't stopped in for a while, so I dropped in with my trusty camera. The lighting isn't so great in some parts of the showroom, and they are very tight for space despite doing a brand new building around 5 or 6 years ago ... so apologies for the darkness of some shots, and not being able to get the whole vehicle in to the frame in many cases. As you will see in one of the pics, it also has the small set for Dream Car Garage that was on Speed Channel. Peter Klutt from the show is the owner of the company.

Definitely some tasty stuff there, coming in to the lobby I was greeted by this row of Mopar awesomeness:

Turning around to look at the upper level:

69 Daytona 440 auto, asking $225K CAN on a fresh rotisserie resto:

69 Hemi Road Runner vert, 1 of 10 as optioned, $315K

    68 Charger 440 with the Pro-Touring treatment, $165K

    71 Charger 440 4-speed documented resto, $50K

71 Duster 340 auto, recent feature in Muscle Car Review, $50K

69 Super Bee 440-6 auto, sold, no price showing:

Loved this 53 Hudson Hornet, $65K asking price:

A 70 Z/28, apparently the only known to exist prototype "Hurst Sunshine Special", special Hurst shifter and sunroof, $140K:

65 Chevelle 327/350hp 4-speed, $75K, you can see the Dream Car Garage set behind it:

Will post some more later ... enjoy.

    cheers

You would think that '70 Z/28 would fetch more $ being it's a one of a kind prototype. Aren't prototypes usually kept by the manufactures?

Re: Stopped by Legendary Motorcar on the weekend

It's a car the BMW designed for GT racing, its a fiberglass body with a 3.0L DOHC I6 (might have been a 3.5, can't remember) mounted in the middle. According to the history I've seen of it, it took a while to get into production and once they did the racing rules for the class had changed and it wasn't competative anymore so they sold it to the public and made thier own 'spec' series out of them. It was quite expensive but was supposed to be a very good car for what it was.

                      The Wildcat I'm fairly certain is a '63 not a '64.

Re: Stopped by Legendary Motorcar on the weekend

Yup, they were a 3.5L DOHC, basically the same engine as used later in the first generation M5 sedan.
