Re: Fordson Snow Machine - 1929 Concept
I just watched a show on History Channel called "Jobsite" a week ago, and it made me think of that tractor. The show was about hauling cement to the jobsite gave some history on the inventor.
That type of screw was invented by a man named Archimedes of Syracuse in the 3rd. Century BC, hence the name, Archimedes Screw.
A common use today is inside a cement truck to keep the mix form hardening in transport, and now for the ironey, the Romans, the inventors of cement are who killed Archimedes.
Part of my interest in the subject is because this has been my son's favorite R/C toy for years, and have always loved that Fordson since my Grandfather showed my a pic of it in an old Ford Tractor book.
