I own the DVD. Without a doubt the best racing movie ever!
The main characters don't say a word for the first 30 plus minutes of the movie, all the narration is done by the track announcer.
They used real cars and real racers. But I think it damn near broke Steve McQueen financially.

The filler before LaMans today was the making of "Gran Prix",it started at Monaco 1966 I think it was.Very cool.
It was only about 15-20mins long but was cool.
I too have La Mans on DVD and Winning and Gran Prix. all cool and none will EVER be remade.Comment
