Stock Susp car I help with in Washinton State

This is Randy's Car he like Doc wont turn his Prom Date into a Hooker so its limited in what we can do, but it has a Stock front end under it ( still has a steering box not a rack) and a Stock rear with a TRZ upper and lower set, ARB, Strange Doubles under the back and front.

Runs 9.04 with a 1.28 60' with the mufflers on it. Its got enough to run 8's if it was good conditions, the tracks he runs on are not the best. 555 BBC, with single four cast intake, he is sending heads to RFD this winter to make sure it runs 8's next year

Everyone else that runs in his Class, has tubbed, big tire cars, he has been number 1 or 2 quallifier each race. So far he says its cool everyone looking under it and just shaking their heads, the guy is sharp calling now just to make sure he is doing right adjustments.

I will have to check I know one is a landing strip. Just thought I would post it and when he sends new pictures I put them up fun to see what can be done with Stock Susp cars, moving a lot of weight.

Out of curiosity Jeff, are most/all those cars factory 4-link or 3-link suspension?

Re: Stock Susp car I help with in Washinton State

3 leaf spring, 4 triangulated 4 link, 4 real four link (parallel).

(side note one four link is Doc I guess I do know him LOL but most of that is over the phone then he does it then we go to the track)

Thre links still work very well but kind of a freak deal now everyone wants to be a lemming. Quarter elipticals are making a come back on rock climbers but we ran one in a Drag Car 30 years ago quite well when 9.30s was the fastest door slammer in town. Doc will remember the "Easy Money Car" of Bob Spencer Injected Big Block with a set of RayNik heads on it ( there is some triva).

As much as everyone would like to make it all so different, its all the same, when talking and direction go basics are basics, and you fine tune from there. The degree, and what a tire wants changes, but getting it there is the same.

I would rather work on getting the car right, than Drive, unless it has a third pedal.

you know, it'd be cool if you did a tutorial on making A-bodies hook (hint, hint).

Also, my close comment was to Memphis (sorry, didn't specify which "you" I was talking to) :P

I've worked with Jeff a few years now. He is not a big talker, nor is he the guy that hides what he learned - he'll share if you ask. He spends a lot of time just smiling and nodding (when we get something right) or, the "blank stare" if we're still not there yet.
