To answer that question "Should the engine been sold and used in something else?" In what? One of one developmental block that never made it into a car during it's development. The only other use that I can think of of is to stick it on a stand and shove it into some dusty museum. To me, that is much worse.

As cool as the engine is, I think the bubbletop roofline on the 62 Catalina body is even cooler. I wonder how long it took to graft the two together.Comment

This is one other 62 bubbletop. This guy claims if you have a rust free car and donor, it's not that hard to combine them. Way over my head, though. And if you didn't put this motor in this car, what would you do with it? Try to re-create one of M/T's land speed cars? Thats what they were made for. I like it where it is just fine.Comment

The dude wanted 300 grand for it on ebay a while back. It didnt start life as a bubble top .He grafted the roof from a Ventura to a Catalina.Comment
