Re: Muffler question
The Cherry Bomb Vortex muffflers have a great deep tone without the rasp.....

Re: Muffler question
I agree with Seth on this one. They have a cool tone at idle, and sound nice but not obnoxious. When you get on it, they sound great though. Plus, and I know this will sound funny, they are the highest flowing muffler that Cherry Bomb makes. Literally. Oh, and our own Matt "Cherry Daddy" Graves designed them.

Re: Muffler question
I don't know about Flowmasters on a Chevy but they are NASTY on a SBF. They have a resonance at road speeds that will drive you nuts. I like my Edelbrocks but have not heard the new Cherry Bombs - I'm sure they're cool, too.

Re: Muffler question
I will second Dan's opinion of Flowmasters on SBF's. We ran dual 2" Flowmaster 40's on the stock 302 in my dad's '72 Stang. They were amusing for the first few days but after that, driving for more than 30 minutes left your ears buzzing for the rest of the day. I ran Magnaflow's on my last project, SBC in a '71 Monte. They were really mellow and had a nice growl when you hit the go-pedal. I'd like to give Cherry Bomb's Vortex mufflers a try on my next project.

Re: Muffler question
remember this is going to be right at your ear..
flowmasters drone way to much on a stocker 305 .. nevermind a worked one..
and with side exits.. nope..
might be better off with the longest glasspack style you can fit under it..
you don't say what f body. this is..
but if its a 3rd gen (82-92, wild guess from the 305)
there isn't any room to install muff. under the car doors. to exit after the doorsComment

Re: Muffler question
they're fine on the highway. Sometimes its a bit loud when I get on the gas, but cruising it's fine.
