The title asks how many miles for your HRPT08, doesn't say anything about driving ::). So it looks like The Chief has the long distance award so far.

2735 Just into the cities, not the venues. Plus after show miles. Figure close to 3100 -3200mi.
Better plan on adding a few hundred more for being lost and wrong turns.

1230 miles for the tour....175 to get back home....(1400 total)....650 to get to LR, but trailering there, so doesn't count...maybe another 200 more for horsing around in LR and at the different cities....1600 total ?....

Looks like about 2500 for me from my door & back, including all the extra miles. About 2100 just from my door to the cities and then home.

I think you are dreaming if you think gas will only be $3.00 a gallon. I really hope that you are right, but I am using $4.00 a gallon when figuring my gas cost.

Hey gas is still a hell of a lot cheaper in the US than in the UK, just need to find away to take it back with us http://www.mkb.cc/forum/img/smilies/rofls.gif

No troubles caused at all with what I posted and you quoted that I can think of. Bob asked "How Many Miles For You HRPT08". Sounds kind of all inclusive to me. For me it comes up to 2518 "quickest route" miles . It'll probably be closer to 3000 miles when all it's all over.

Oh good, I hate being in trouble. It is usually my slow brain and fast mouth that does it, but here it is my slow brain and fast fingers).
Yeah, my mileage doesn't include "lost" or "excursion" miles either. When calculating expenses, I multiplied my map mileage by another 20% and used $4 per gallon of gas and 12 miles per gallon.
Should be enough ...
Let's go !!!

It was Sammy Davis Jr. on the Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In show, which was great.
I just loved Goldie Hawn in the bikini doing go-go dancing with body paint sayings written all over her body.

Its Vehicle Miles, home to home of Vehicle With a Driver in the Car
There should be some debate on this proposed modification to Rule 1

Warm Beer?really?
Bob, nope, not warm beer.
Room temperature beer (which is usually in a cellar in ENGLAND !!!)
... even in the summer, it is still rather cool. I like room temp English beer better than any mass produced "ice cold" American beer.
Some Yank boutique beers are OK though.

Madison to home ~ 1,000 miles
Hoping to average 20 mpg ~ $750 ouch !

Re-do the math Junkies:
Projections are that REGULAR unleaded gasoline prices will hit $4.00 (that's U.S., not dracmas, pesos or euros) by Memorial Day 2008...and my ride drinks premium like most of yours do I bet. See you on tour anyway.
P.S. - I proposed developing a WHERE'S FREIBURGER? window decal for PT last year. But the idea failed miserably. Now that this is Dave's actual first year where he isn't gonna be there, I think it may be appropriate...maybe even a WHERE ARE CHAD AND DAVE? or CHAD AND DAVE WHO? decal.

Same here, roughly 2,000 miles. I'm guessing it will end up being quite a bit more than that with around town driving.

Hey 55Lincoln - same mileage with me - since I am assuming we are still travelling together with at least two other cars on the Wednesday from the west side of Toronto.

Streets and Trips says 3,725 without any extra for the scenic rout (back roads and side trips).
Could be another 4,000 mile trip this year.

891 miles to LR from home (Raleigh, NC). 1014 from Madison back. That's 1905 miles w/o the miles from the tour itself. That's not so bad. In '01 it was 2528 miles to get home from the final stop in SanBerdo.

I'm guessing about 3700 or so.......... ???

April 12th, 2008, 06:07 AM
I am guessing around 2200 miles. 850 to LR and then just the tour back to WI. Madison is about an hour and fifteen minutes from the house.
