OK, just trying to start trouble. Lets see what kind of crowd we really have here, we're not going to make it easy so you can only choose one or the other no "C" ;)

Well I am a C guy a long time ago I was into shows. But mostly because I couldnt afford to Go as fast as I wanted. I am more GO now but I still have the car duster in the back seat for in between rounds!

It's obviously possible to do both you know.... Fast can be pretty... the car that ran the top speed at Speedweek is a true work of Art not simply a race car... everything about it is pretty... and pretty Damn fast...

If it's fast enough, no one can see how ugly it is ;)

I don't like clean and and polishing. I'm not any good at cleaning and polishing.
I don't know which one came first but it's working out for me.

If it's fast enough, I don't have to do bodywork.... I race it enough and the bodywork is done for me ;D

I've always wanted my car to run right long before it looked right. I had a friend who had the coolest looking 67 Camaro in school. He had spent thousands on a paint job, but his car smoked something awful. My guess he ran it out of oil once and collapsed the rings. All the smoke took away from the cool paint job.
My Dad once said that the coolest paint job in the world won't get your car out of the driveway. Make it run right first. My finances kind of made it imperative. Though it's ugliness is starting to really bother me.

Ugly junk that goes fast. Mainly because I've had too much nice junk screwed up by folks who don't respect others property. It's easier just to have the rust and dents and not worry about little stuff.

It's GOTTA run. Pretty comes later, but it DOES come. With the LSR Camaro, I've taken a different path - safe first (still working on it, but the 'cage is mostly in, etc), fast second (I duped NARIDER into doing the head), and pretty last - once I hit a decent speed, I'll paint the ol' wreck). The only thing we take seriously in LSR is safety - the rest is just silliness. Last season, I ran the STOCK 250 six, and I never even checked the timing - NO BS. It was just the way I bought it, with 167K miles. So I want it ALL - eventually!

There's NOTHING wrong with looks and presentation as long as it's not at the expense of performance. Being a performance car doesn't mean it has to look like rubbish.
Nonetheless, if I had to choose between a nice looking car and a fun car that performs I would chose the later.

Hey Steve... don't get suckered in here... Dynoroom is Mike LeFevers....Alias MiTech engines, he builds and Dyno's engines for guys like Ed Van Scoy, Jerry Kugal, and Seth Hammond... and all of these Yahoo's are X show car guys... with a habit of going Very fast. So basically he's trying to sucker us in... there wasn't a choice in this survey...
I'm going to have fun with this when it takes it's next turn... So yeah Mike... I'm waiting for it...

Ok how do you squeeze a two inch tube through aa one inch hole? ;D
KeithTurk
November 20th, 2007, 12:39 AM
Wow.. that one is easy.... a 2" long tube that's 1" in diameter goes through a 1" diameter hole just fine...
or if you need the area of a 2" diameter tube then you have to have mulitpul 1" tubes and holes to go thru...
Hmmm
