Okay, so here's the problem.
My back half, 3640lb Camaro has a street Lenco trans in it. This makes it part of the Unlimited class due to the transmission, nothing else. Does anyone know of a trans that I can change it to or, because I have an ST1200 is it considered a street trans?
I dont want to put an automatic in the car, and have 1000ft/lbs so a Tremec is out of the question. I really want to try and do this next year, the car is running great. I wont set the world on fire but it should run some 8.50's if everything works as planned ;)
Anybody got any ideas?? Or is there a way to appleal?? Geez, the thing even has a baby seat in the back along with a full interior......

Thanks
Andy

You may have better luck in Unlimited anyhow high failure rate . Unless Larry shows up the power adder Pro Streets have been high 7's low 8's last two years

The lenco will put you in Unlimited no way around that

It's got all the good stuff and i can turn it up. I just dont want to have to have so many chassis updates that the car really isnt comfortable on the street. Right now its set up more or less like a Super Stocker. Thanks for the input

I'll be the guy in the flat black Camaro following Larson down the track. I'll make sure to bring my binoculars ;)

andreww,
I suggest you enjoy your Lenco and run Unlimited. If your chassis cert is 8.50 (like mine) just practice setting your car up so you can run low 8.50's at any track. That's my "easier said than done" plan for Pro Street / Power Adder for 2010. My truck will never see a 7.50 cert because it's too heavy (even if I wanted to crawl over side bars into a funny car cage).
If you look at all five Drag Weeks, an 8.50 average is up there with the fastest averages ever.
