NHRA FUEL CLASSES?

I'm watching the NHRA qualifying on TV and they just announced there are only 18 cars trying to Qualify in Top Fuel and only 16 cars showed up for F/C so all 16 are in as long as they can make a pass down thw track. I guess we knew this was coming.

On topic, I'm only surprised it didn't happen sooner.......while the big-money classes are shrinking, the Sportsman/Stock classes are as strong as ever(if not moreso).

May be good for the Fuelie guys, not having to set the engines on "kill" to make the show....but then again, it kinda takes the excitement out of it too.
