Avatar - I use the same one here as on other boards of the same format, so maybe there's a config setting on the board that needs tweaking. My avatar looks a mite squished.
[after further review] Maybe I should link to the right graphic. D'Oh!
Would be nice if they were a tad larger, like 100x100 or so.
I would make a tech section then try to section by intrest Drag, Cruisers, Builds, General chat

Maybe better to wait on the site content before making too many sub-forums. The content may induce certain gathering places or discussion patterns. Some places get nutso about sub-forums and things get lost. KISS, that sort of idea. 460for.com is a good example of KISS, but it's also pretty specific as to content.
I am no forum expert, I just dont want to go thru 25 posts, of what car did you dream about last night, to find a post I was on 2 days ago and want to follow.
Forums with For sale and Want to buy would be cool, I have been looking at some other sites, they all seem to have those, and are pretty cool, like garage sales on the internet. LOL

Steve your thoughts are interesting as well as Jeff's...
Personally I dig the Classified section of most websites... Tonya for some reason Hates them...( especially if they have two wheels).... so basically that means having different sections might have some value... the down side of Segmenting the groups early on is that we'll lose some of the comroderie... ( hmmm ) that sounds fairly San Francisco ... )
I'm sure as this thing gets going there will be groups of us that congregate in the different area's based on our interests... and ultimately there will be way to much content to keep a handle on all of it...
Watching it develop is going to be a blast... Keep in mind that David and Chad have absolute control over this gig... So if it gets slow... we have a semi single source to bitch at... or compliment as the case maybe... ( will be actually )
Another vote for tech. I also don't think we should segregate the community by interest, unless it becomes a problem, Such as "Why____ Sucks" threads. Other than that I believe that letting the chips fall where they may should work.
