    Cars in Barns

Hey guys, good luck with the new program, hope it takes off.

Here are my two little sites, one is a "blog" about my adventures hunting down the elusive "muscle cars in the barns". I've had a ton of success and usually update it weekly.

Also is my photo site where I have the pictures from my adventures. I have thousands of pictures up there. I also have some pictures of my current project car, 71 Challenger, and other projects of mine.

    Re: Cars in Barns

If you get bored you can find quite a few cars in barns in this neck of the woods. However the numbers are dwindeling because people go buy them to resell which is sad, still a few good deals about if you get bored.

I know a guy locally that has 2 Cudas (not Baracudas) that have been in a barn since the 70s. They are both in great shape. I asked....He aint selling. Rich azz rancher with more $$$ then God. He says his sons will each get one restored "some day". I did find a factory Chevy crossram in an old junkyard that was closed to the public in the early 80s. I payed $100 for it, had it restored ($350) and sold it for $8,000. I love finding old hotrods...Johnny

                      Re: Cars in Barns

About a year an a half ago i was house hunting driving down the road when i stoppped dead ass in the middle of the street. There was the back end of a yellow super bee with the big black stripe around the back end. It was under a heap of shit inside some guys garage all i could see was the back 3 feet. The house was falling apart and the garage was in shambles. I asked one of his neighbors who i work with occasionaly he said according to its owner its a 440 4 speed car, its not for sale, and some day when he has the money hes going to fix it. Aparently it was the guys first car ever and he wont let it go.....the guy cant even keep his house up let alone fix a super bee ya know.....ill swing out this spring and take a picture

Some day when I grow up I'll learn how to post the pic I took of a reasonably clean '64 Pontiac wagon up near Maxton. It says "Bonneville" on the grille, but I thought big Poncho wagons were "Safari's". Anyway, I sent them to Keith, so maybe when he's back in Enterprise he can post it. It would be a great car to get.

Very cool guys, definately love to see some of those pics!

                          Here is from today.....

Well I was working today, and a gentleman comes in asking for a battery for a 70 Superbee. I jump over to help him and we get to talking. Apparently his brother was injured a few years ago and the car has sat since. So I asked if I could see it, he said by all means.

So I go to the barn and I have to unbury the door from snow, and open it up. All I see are a few old car covers and an old truck. Well under one cover is a 64 1/2 mustang (couldn't get to it) another is an old Chevy. Then came the Bee. What a Bee. Not an original Hemi car, 383 car. But now has all the nice stuff.

I couldn't get around the car much. But it was very nice. Well maintained. Sitting near the Bee was a whole bunch of old HO scale train tracks. The guy said I could have them, and the trains the next time I come by, if I wanted to help get the Bee going.

                          Some of the train stuff

I also have a line on a 70 Barracuda Vert and a 71 Cuda. Hope they pan out in the next few days.
