Hilarious Video: A Crazy, Dirt Track, Big Rig Race at the Webster County FairBy Brian Lohnes Posted 03/10/2010
Talk about grassroots racing. Take an open area, throw some huge old equipment tires around the edges and center of said area, form an oval about a quarter mile in length, and allow people to race big rigs around it. Where the hell do we sign up? This is friggin' awesome. Read More >
Hilarious Video: Guy Drives Deuce and a Half Through Above Ground PoolBy Brian Lohnes Posted 02/25/2010
Watching this video will make you really want a deuce and a half truck. It will also serve as a good base for the guaranteed argument you'll have with your spouse when you share that idea. Clearly this truck is a useful piece of equipment to have around the house. They're great at lots of stuff, like knocking down pools. To be clear, pools still full of water. Read More >
Video Bonanza: U-Haul trucks Getting ThrashedBy Brian Lohnes Posted 02/22/2010
We'll admit right off the bat that we have beaten down a U-Haul truck or two in our day. We got a V10 powered model high sided on a pile of tires one time. It's kind of a long story, but let's just say that the rev limiter on that truck got used really well. The videos in this Bonanza take it to another level. This is pure rental truck violence. BangShift.com does not endorse or encourage this behavior, but since these hoons did it, we may as well enjoy it. Read More >

With the world's most famous pothole now residing in Daytona, Florida, we wanted to scan the globe for gory pothole videos. Sadly, there isn't much cool stuff out there. We did locate one video that comes from Russia showing a pothole that literally swallows whole cars. The video quality is kind of tough, but this is a hilarious stuff. Read More >
Video Bonanza: Great Ads for 1980s Gearhead ToysBy Brian Lohnes Posted 02/11/2010
As we speed toward our 30th birthday, we've been taking a little stock of our younger days. Growing up in the 1980s was a fun situation because there were so many awesome gearhead kid toys that were showing up all the time. The Saturday morning cartoon shows were full of ads for the latest and greatest truck, car, or construction set that did neat stuff. We managed to find a ton of awesome 1980s ads that show some of the coolest toys of the era. We knew our parents were great, but watching these ads made us realize that we had just about one of everything on the list! Read More >
Video Bonanza: Idiots Jumping Cars and TrucksBy Brian Lohnes Posted 01/27/2010
This set of videos, featuring amateurs jumping their cars and trucks, will make you laugh, cringe, and deflect your eyes from the screen. A couple of the jumps are really funny and others absolutely pin the stupidity and danger meter on the redline. As best we know no one was hurt, but several of these vehicles certainly were. Crazy Video: People Bail Out of Car Skidding on IceBy Brian Lohnes Posted 01/22/2010
Let's say you're driving a little weenie econo-box down an icy road. The car begins to slide on the ice. Given the options, do you attempt to regain control of the car and try, maybe fruitlessly, to steer yourself to safety, or do you make the truly idiotic decision to try and bail out of your rudderless breadbox? These dopes chose to exit stage left. Read More >
Nutso Video: Guy Steals the Pace Car At a NASCAR Race, For RealBy Brian Lohnes Posted 01/7/2010
We saw the title on this YouTube video and thought we'd be watching some lame attempt at doctoring video to make it seem like someone stole a pace car at a NASCAR race and was driving it around the track. We were totally wrong. This is insane. A guy actually steals the pace at at the 1986 NASCAR Winston 500 held at Talladega Super Speedway, and makes laps with it! Read More >

Just Because: Original Dukes of Hazzard BloopersBy Brian Lohnes Posted 12/4/2009
It's hard to argue that the Dukes of Hazzard influenced every BangShifter one way or another, if only through today's dire shortage of 1969 Chargers. Well, here's a clip of Dukes as you've never seen them. WARNING, there's some strong language in here. But it's mostly hysterical. Read More >

Video: RM Auctions General Lee Delivered to New Owner, Upside Down!By Brian Lohnes Posted 11/23/2009
Here's a video you thought you'd never see: a car from a high-end auction sale delivered on its roof. This is one of the cars used in the 2005 Dukes of Hazzard movie, and it's plenty wrecked. That did not stop the buyer from paying $15,400, plus commission, for it at the September 2009 RM Auctions Icons of Speed and Style event at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles. He must have a sense of humor about it, too, as he does not seem too upset by the method of transfer. Read More >
Carnage of the Week: An Old Dodge Camper in Hilarious Action on a Tough Truck Track By Brian Lohnes Posted 08/5/2009
It doesn't get any cooler than this. Someone bought an old crusty Dodge camper at a public auction for close to nothing, took said camper to the county fair, and then entered the thing, bone stock, into the tough truck competition. It's amazing how well the truck holds up in spite of some killer jumps. Read More >
