New Gallery: 25 Paint IdeasBy Freiburger Posted 11/25/08

As a guy who can't own a shiny car, it's a little surprising that I snap photos of paint ideas everywhere I go. It's the editor in me, wanting to share all these car-related thoughts with the world. Besides, it's not like I can't appreciate trick paint, it's just that I can't maintain it myself.

I just posted a new gallery showing 25 new paint and graphics ideas. There's also an older paint-idea gallery that you can see here.

As a caveat, keep in mind that just because I snapped a photo of a paint scheme doesn't necessarily mean I approve of it stylistically. It could even be a Violation. But I also think that even the bad ideas can spark a notion for a good one.

Check 'em out and see what you think.

DANG! I was sitting there trying to convince myself if it was the Grenade or the Fighting Irish...and I lost! Fixed now. Thanks a lot for joining us.

Nice site. Keep up the good work! Your caption of my car "Jade Grenade" should read "Beebe & Mullligan". Thanks for inclulding it in your gallery. Dave

At the bottom of each pop-up where the captions go is the url for the photo. Cut and paste the url, then you can heist the photo with right-click.

Very cool ideas.  Is there a way to "right-click-save"?  since its a pop-up of the pics?

Quite like the faux woody look (#25).  Is it as tough to do as its appearance suggests?

My buddy, Gregg's 76 Eldo had cooked all the tape wood trim over the years spending it's entire life in LA. I thought he got replacements. Nope, he pulled the tape off the stainless and hand painted wood back on. I would've never known if he didn't tell me.

I love the "wood" stripe at the end. I will have to find a 73-77 Chevelle wagon to build.
