Some cars seem to be destined to lead charmed lives. Take this neat 1968 AMX that was bought new, street driven for four years and then turned into a road racing machine.

After sitting for 20 years, the owner deicded to dust it off, restore it to its former glory and get back out on the track to go vintage racing. Lots of cars that take a 20 year "break" end up butchered to death or rotting in an unseen corner of the scrap yard. This one is actively making hay on the weekends and nothing is cooler than that!

Gotta love those independents and this one is one of the neatest I have seen lately.  Not only is the car cool,  the story behind it is absolutely fantastic.  Thanks for sharing it.
